Following the Japanese donut brand Mister Donut, the iconic American brand Krispy Kreme is also making its move into Taiwan. It is set to open its first flagship store in Taiwan at Taipei’s Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Xinyi A13 on December 12, and will host a Krispy Kreme Taiwan Facebook fans-only donut experience event on November 23 and December 1 in the pedestrian area of Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Xinyi and the square in front of Songshan Cultural and Creative Park Eslite Bookstore, respectively. The events will include a giveaway of 10,000 dozen original glazed donuts to capture the Taiwanese donut market.

The American Krispy Kreme donuts, which have caused a sensation in Japan, Korea, and other regions, were established in 1937. Over their 76-year history, they have expanded their donut empire to 23 countries worldwide, with a total of over 800 stores. Not only are their delicious treats known around the world, but they are also one of the sweetest memories for many international students during their school years. Krispy Kreme just opened a store in Singapore in October this year, and in December it is also preparing to bring its classic “original glazed donut,” which has been renowned in the U.S. since 1937, to Taiwan, delighting the island’s large community of dessert lovers.

To celebrate the opening, Krispy Kreme will hold its largest-ever Krispy Kreme Taiwan fans-only donut experience event on November 23 and December 1, sharing the sweet taste of 10,000 dozen donuts with fans. For the November 23 session, number cards will be handed out at 12:00 noon in the pedestrian area of Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Xinyi, with delicious donuts given out at 1:00 pm. The limited quantity is 2,000 dozen, and there will also be staff on-site to take commemorative photos for donut fans.
