Miaoli: The “Swimming with Fish in the Sea of Books – Infant and Toddler Reading Initiation” series of events kicks off on the 19th. Miaoli Deputy Magistrate Lin Jiuxiang and Legislator Xu Yaochang presented “reading gift bags” to participating parent-child families, encouraging parents to read to their little ones and help them create a wonderful first experience with books. Every baby can grow up happily with the company of books. Families with infants and toddlers born in 2012 (Year 101 in the Republic of China calendar) and registered in Miaoli County can pick up a free gift bag at their local township or city library by bringing their household registration booklet.
