Following the Japanese donut brand Mister Donut, the iconic American brand Krispy Kreme is also making its move into Taiwan. It is set to open its first flagship store in Taiwan at Taipei’s Xinyi Vanguard on December 12, and will host a Krispy Kreme Taiwan Facebook fans-only donut experience on November 23 and December 1 in the Xinyi Vanguard pedestrian area and Songshan Cultural and Creative Park Eslite Square respectively, along with an event giving away 10,000 dozen original glazed donuts, all to stake a claim in Taiwan’s donut market.

The American Krispy Kreme donut brand, which has caused a sensation in Japan, South Korea, and other places, was founded in 1937. Over the course of 76 years, it has expanded its donut empire to 23 countries worldwide, operating more than 800 stores in total. Its delicious taste has spread across the globe and remains one of the sweetest memories for many international students. In October this year, Krispy Kreme just opened a branch in Singapore, and in December, it is preparing to bring its classic, award-winning since 1937 “original glazed donut” to Taiwan, delighting the island’s vast community of dessert lovers.

To celebrate the opening, Krispy Kreme will host its largest ever Krispy Kreme Taiwan fans-only donut experience event on November 23 and December 1, sharing the sweet taste of 10,000 dozen donuts with fans. For the November 23 session, numbered tickets will be handed out at 12:00 noon in the Xinyi Vanguard pedestrian area, with the delicious donuts given out at 13:00, limited to 2,000 dozen. There will also be staff on-site to take commemorative photos for donut fans.
