The “Southern Taiwan Agricultural Specialties Promotion Event” is jointly organized by the Kaohsiung City Government Department of Economic Development and the Kaohsiung City Farmers’ Association, and is held regularly on the second weekend of every month at a fixed location. On the 10th and 11th, the event will feature 80 booths showcasing seasonal agricultural specialties, fresh fruits and vegetables, and processed goods from various towns and villages in southern Taiwan, meeting the public’s demand for one-stop fresh agricultural product shopping and directly supporting hardworking farmers.
At the exhibition, agricultural products such as papaya, green mango, fruit candy, bananas, tea, kumquats, and bamboo tube rice will be auctioned off starting at NT$1. Buy mountain-raised or black-bone chickens worth over NT$500 and receive a free plate. There will also be special sales on gourmet items such as state banquet fish balls, yuhuabao honey, pineapple jam, sausages, aiyu jelly, and handmade egg rolls.
The exhibition is themed around leisure agriculture and features a variety of traditional rural games for all ages, along with parent-child painting activities. Families can paint in the designated area on themes such as the event venue, agricultural products, and leisure farming experiences. Participants who complete their artwork will receive a stationery gift. Other fun activities include parent-child flower knowledge Q&A and a farmer-costume memory challenge game.
