Greet 2015 with a “Lifetime Kiss” – Romantic couples at Erliao put on a loving show to welcome the sunrise

This New Year’s Day coincided with a cold front from mainland China, with temperatures dropping below ten degrees Celsius late at night. However, the enthusiasm of the crowds gathering to watch the sunrise remained undimmed. Starting from 1:00 AM, many made their way to Erliao in Tainan to prepare for the sunrise. Around 6:50 AM, over three thousand people gathered to witness the first light of 2015.

Since this was the first day transitioning from 2014 into 2015, the Siraya National Scenic Area Administration took inspiration from the numbers 14 and 15 and organized a “Lifetime Kiss” event. They invited three couples to the Sunrise Pavilion, where they enjoyed the sunrise view and a romantic breakfast alongside Tainan Mayor William Lai, and Director Liao Yuanlong of the Siraya National Scenic Area Administration. The couples shared their love declarations, hoping their relationships would last and leave a beautiful mark under the witness of the sunrise. Mayor Lai also drew a prize of round-trip tickets between Kaohsiung and Hong Kong as part of the event.

Meanwhile, the Siraya National Scenic Area Administration also invited musician Liu Zhuyang and lyricist Liao Xiauhe from Elegant Farmer Music Factory to specially compose a song for the Erliao sunrise. Everyone welcomed the arrival of 2015 to the sound of its melodious and uplifting tune.
