The Liu Family Residence is a cultural heritage site under the protection of Dafang County.

The Liu Family Residence is located in Guomu Village, Lihua Township, and is a county-level cultural heritage site, being an ancient building from the Qing Dynasty.

Lihua Township: Located in the southern part of Dafang County, it covers an area of 129 square kilometers with a population of 37,200, of which ethnic minorities such as the Miao and Yi account for 32.9%. It administers 1 neighborhood committee and 10 village committees. Established as Lihua Township in 1949, it was divided in 1953 to form Lihua, Jinji, Fasha, and Changchun townships. In 1958, three communes—Lihua, Fasha, and Changchun—were established and soon merged into the Lihua Commune. After 1961, the three communes were reinstated. In 1984, Lihua Town and two ethnic townships—Fasha and Changchun—were created for the Miao and Yi peoples. In 1991, they were merged again to form the current Lihua Miao and Yi Ethnic Township.
