The Wang Family Courtyard is a cultural relic protection unit of Dafang County.

The Wang Family Courtyard is located in Xinqi Village, Dingxin Township. It is a county-level cultural relic protection unit and an important modern historical site and representative building from 1947.

Dingxin Township: Located in the southwest of Dafang County, it covers an area of 110 square kilometers with a population of 31,000, of which ethnic groups such as Yi and Miao account for 29%. It administers 1 neighborhood committee and 12 village committees. Established as Dingxin Township in 1949, it was divided into Dingxin, Changchong, and Zeji townships in 1953. In 1958, the townships were abolished to establish Pojiao Commune. From 1961 onward, it was split into three communes. In 1984, it was reorganized into Dingxin Town, along with Changchong Township and Zeji Miao-Yi Ethnic Township. In 1991, these were merged to form the current Dingxin Yi-Miao Ethnic Township.
