People's Aqueduct

The People's Aqueduct is a cultural relics protection unit of Dafang County.

The People's Aqueduct is located in Jushi Village, Changshi Town. It is a county-level cultural relics protection unit and an important modern historical site and representative structure built in 1974.

Changshi Town: Located in the northern part of Dafang County, it covers an area of 115 square kilometers with a population of 32,000, among which ethnic groups such as Yi, Miao, and Gelao make up 22.6%. It administers 1 neighborhood committee and 21 village committees. In 1949, it was established as Changshi Township. In 1953, it was divided to form Changshi, Shiping, Shanba, Zhangdakuai, and Longli townships. In 1958, separate people's communes were established, which were then merged into the Changshi Commune. In 1962, five communes were re-established. In 1984, it was restructured into Changshi Town along with Shiping, Zhangdakuai, Shanba, and Longli townships. In 1991, these were merged again into Changshi Town.
