The Liushi Ancestral Residence in Daxi is located in Daxi Village, Daxi Town, and is a county-level cultural heritage site, featuring ancient architecture from the Qing Dynasty.

Daxi Town: Located in the northwest-central part of Dafang County, it covers an area of 117 square kilometers with a population of 23,700, among which ethnic groups such as Yi, Miao, and Gelao account for 24%. It administers 1 neighborhood committee and 13 village committees. In 1950, it was known as Daxi Township. In 1953, it was divided to establish Daxi, Guozhe, Bazhi, Yujian, and Juhe townships. In 1958, the Daxi Commune was formed. In 1962, it was divided again to form the Daxi, Bazhi, Yusha, and Daxi communes. In 1984, Daxi Town and Bazhi and Yusha townships were established.
