Sae'er Scenic Area

Sae'er Scenic Area is situated in the southeastern part of Liuzhi, 18 kilometers from the city center, spanning 31.5 square kilometers. It lies only 16 kilometers from the renowned Huangguoshu Waterfall. The Bai Shui River, the parent river of Huangguoshu Waterfall, cuts through the scenic zone, creating a series of uniquely shaped waterfalls. The largest, Dishuitan Waterfall, is exactly half the height and width of Huangguoshu Waterfall. The waterfall is majestic, with splashing water and misty spray. Other falls, such as the Kebu Waterfall and the Immortal Bridge Waterfall, form a harmonious and melodious ensemble, vibrant and unrestrained. Along the riverbanks lie Buyi ethnic villages, complemented by picturesque farmland, beautiful mountains, and rivers, earning it the reputation among both domestic and international visitors as the “Little Guilin.”

Annual events such as the “Third Month Third,” “Sixth Month Sixth,” and “Seventh Month Half,” along with traditional ethnic performances like “Flower Tossing,” “Sama Dance,” and “Bamboo Tube Dance,” are simple yet elegant. The karst cave clusters—including the Duolin Cave, Moon Cave, and Copper Coin Cave—feature grand, spectacular, and thrilling landscapes that are compact and magnificent. Sae'er Scenic Area is an ideal destination for adventure, exploration, archaeology, research, and leisure vacations.
