The affluent Gangnam District in Seoul has begun renovating Cheongdam-dong streets. The local government is developinga "K-pop Star Zone"and surrounding streets, hoping to establish it as a K-pop mecca where visitors can indulge their admiration for celebrities and explore Korean culture at any time, while attracting international fans.

According to the Straits Times Singapore,this street project has entered its second phase. The first phase focused on small shops frequently visited by K-pop stars and Korean artists. Local tourism authorities have also created guidebooks and maps to help visitors locate these spots.
