Japan’s Largest “Ichiran Osaka Yatai” Limited Menu: Only Available Here!

Fukuoka’s yatai culture has made its way to Osaka ! Ichiran Ramen, a must-try for Taiwanese visitors to Japan, is launching a brand-new branch in Dotonbori, Osaka from the 16th—Ichiran Ramen Dotonbori Yatai Kan. The entire building includes a souvenir area, ramen dining section, and yatai zone. It’s not only the first Ichiran yatai in the Kansai region but also the largest Ichiran branch in all of Japan, featuring exclusive menu items available only here!

The “Ichiran Dotonbori Yatai Kan” has five floors in total: the 1st floor sells about 50 varieties of souvenirs, the 2nd and 3rd floors are the Ichiran ramen dining area with a total of 60 seats; the 4th and 5th floors are the highlight—the Ichiran yatai, with 112 seats. The entire building spans approximately 279 tsubo (about 920 square meters) with a total of 172 seats.

The yatai area inside the venue is designed with the concept of recreating a Showa-era Nakasu yatai. The nostalgic dining space features vintage photos of Fukuoka’s Nakasu from the Showa period plastered on the walls, with light brown wooden tables and red chairs complementing each other. The simple retro vibe makes visitors feel as if they’ve traveled back in time.

In addition to the basic ramen options, visitors can also order a plate of rich pork bone tonkotsu chashu or enjoy matcha almond tofu for dessert after the meal. Moreover,the matcha almond tofu is a limited menu item available only at Dotonbori Yatai Kan!

Not far from Dotonbori Yatai Kan is the Ichiran Ramen Dotonbori Store, which welcomed over 400,000 foreign visitors as early as 2014, showcasing its popularity among tourists. Ichiran Ramen also stated that to accommodate visitors from around the world, the ordering menu currently offers four languages: Chinese, English, Korean, and Japanese. With the opening of the “Dotonbori Yatai Kan,” the hope is that the presence of both branches will help reduce waiting times for customers.
