New highlight for Instagram-worthy spots in Kaohsiung – the brand-new “hipster-style waiting room” at Pier-2 Art Center has officially opened

There’s a new photo-worthy spot for travelers visiting Kaohsiung again recently. The newly opened waiting room of the “Kaohsiung Cultural Yacht Fleet,” which connects three major cultural zones — Takao British Consulate, Pier-2 Art Center, and Hongmaogang — has just been launched inside Pier-2 Art District. With its vibrant colors and surrounding artistic landscaping and harbor views, even queuing for the ferry has become a hipster experience.

The new waiting room of Kaohsiung Cultural Yacht is located next to Warehouse P2 in Pier-2 Art District. Designed with the concept of a shipping container building, the white exterior walls are painted in bright hues of red, blue, and earthy yellow, accented with green plants and creative decorations that add a touch of nature to the structure. A simple swing is also set up in one corner of the waiting room, allowing visitors to gently sway in the sea breeze and enjoy a relaxing time while waiting for their ferry.
