Pengzu Immortal Mountain Scenic Area

Pengzu Immortal Mountain Scenic Area is a national AA-level tourist attraction.

Pengzu Mountain, also called Pengmeng Mountain or Pengwang Mountain. From a distance, a ridge of mountains gently swells up from the valley, gradually rising higher and expanding, winding its way upward until it forms a grand peak and then stops abruptly. Beneath this tall peak, another, smaller ridge begins to rise in a similar fashion — also gradually swelling, rising, and expanding. The two ranges embrace each other in a curving descent, eventually forming a massive hill that also comes to an abrupt halt, just connecting with the gently swelling tail end of the upper range. Together, the mountains form a natural, three-dimensional “Taiji” (Yin-Yang) symbol. This kind of landform is absolutely unique.

Pengzu Mountain Scenic Area: A national AA-level scenic spot and the birthplace of Chinese health and longevity culture. It lies 45 kilometers north of Chengdu and 25 kilometers south of Meishan, located in Jiangkou Town, Pengshan District. The scenic area features historical sites such as the Temple of Pengzu, Pengzu’s Tomb, Pengzu’s Alchemy Cave, Jade Maiden Cave, and the Worship Stone. It also includes the Health Cultivation Garden, which showcases Pengzu’s three secrets to longevity (guiding and breathing techniques, dietary practices, and sexual arts) and ancient Chinese sexual culture; the Qi Gathering Field, beloved by qigong enthusiasts from China and abroad; the world’s largest twin stone Buddha statues on Qishan; the perilous and spectacular “No.1 Cave Under Heaven” — Jade Maiden Cave; the thrilling adventure passage “Nine Heavens Summit Adventure”; the Yangshanzhai, dedicated to displaying Pengzu’s dietary health techniques; the popular Huiguang Temple; and Bishan Temple, among over 20 other attractions.
