Suoshui Village in Dongsheng Town, Yingshan County, is located 5 kilometers from the county seat. National Highway 101 runs through the village, covering 13 cooperatives with 535 farming households, a population of 1,899, and 1,206 acres of arable land. While it enjoys good geographical advantages, just two years ago the village suffered from weak collective economy, backward infrastructure, and poor living standards for villagers, with per capita net income of less than 2,000 yuan. However, since adopting the approach of "government investment as guidance, owner and farmer investment as the main body, and credit investment as a supplement" to build a new civilized village, the small community has undergone earth-shattering changes: attractive and unique small buildings nestled among green trees, smooth and clean cement roads winding around the village and fields, delightful orchards dotting houses’ front and back yards, all presenting a vibrant and prosperous new socialist countryside scene.
