Sichuan Yingshan Qingshuihu National Wetland Park is a national-level wetland park.

Sichuan Yingshan Qingshuihu National Wetland Park is located in Yingshan County, Sichuan Province, with a total area of 901.3 hectares.

Development History

The master plan of Sichuan Yingshan Qingshuihu National Wetland Park is divided into five zones: wetland conservation area, wetland restoration area, environmental education & exhibition area, rational use area, and management & service area, accounting for 48.57%, 14.86%, 13.01%, 23.28% and 0.28% of the total park area respectively. The wetland conservation area consists of the main reservoir area, the water intake section of the Xingfu Reservoir dam, and the region including the northern first ridge, serving as the county's water source protection zone. The wetland restoration area includes the downstream section of the Qingshui River entering the reservoir and the area around Majiagou mouth within the reservoir. The environmental education & exhibition area is located in Yijiawan, Wangjiawan, Qianqiubang and other sites, functioning as the primary zone for wetland education, ecological civilization development, science outreach, and eco-leisure, entertainment, and rest activities. The rational use area is situated north of the earth dam and is used for recreational experience activities. The management & service area is located southeast of the Xingfu Reservoir dam.

Geographic Environment

Qingshuihu is located 10 kilometers north of Yingshan County. The county has developed the Qingshuihu Wetland Park centered around the original Xingfu Reservoir. The Xingfu Reservoir covers a water area of over 6,000 mu, with an annual storage capacity of more than 25 million cubic meters. The reservoir features numerous islands and coves, broad water surfaces, dense lakeside islets and peninsulas, and abundant wildlife resources.

In May 2013, Qingshuihu was honored as one of the "Top Ten Wetlands in Nanchong."
