The Sanmenhai Red Seventh Army 21st Division Secret Headquarters is situated inside a cave on the left side of the entrance to the “No. 1 Window in the World” attraction at the Sanmenhai Karst Window Cave Scenic Area in Fengshan County’s Karst National Geopark. The cave entrance is separated by a water tunnel, making it highly concealed. The cave has an area of 80 square meters, and behind it extends a narrow and perilous passage leading up the mountain. Currently, it preserves military cots, office desks, guard posts, and related historical relics. It is now a municipal-level red tourism site and patriotic education base.

Starting in 1929, in order to effectively direct the resistance against enemies in the Fengshan revolutionary base, Wei Baqun set up a secret command post within the Sanmenhai karst window cave cluster at Poxin, on the border between Lingyun and Fengshan. Leaders of the 21st Division such as Wei Baqun, Huang Wentong, and Huang Mingchun strategized here, planning tactics to defeat the enemy. In September of the same year, the Guangxi underground Communist Party, through Yu Zuobai, appointed Communist Party member Li Zhihua as the Magistrate of Fengshan County. In late October, Li Zhihua, escorted by armed personnel, set out from Baise, passed through Lingyun, and entered Fengshan. When they reached the village of Longlin, not far from Fengcheng, they were stopped by the armed resistance of Wei Jinkai, leader of a local militia unit, and had to retreat to Pingyue to set up camp. Upon learning of this, Wei Baqun held a military meeting in Panyang in early December to plan the armed takeover of Fengcheng, and informed Li Zhihua, who was resting and regrouping in Pingyue, of the battle strategy. This location thus became the frontline command center for the attack on the county seat. In early December, under the command of Wei Baqun, three detachments of peasant soldiers (one led by Liao Yuanfang from the Changli detachment, one jointly commanded by Huang Wentong and Huang Mingchun from the local and Panyang peasant forces, and one led by Li Zhihua and Huang Boyao from the Pingyue area peasant forces) launched an attack on the city from both the east and west directions. After a day of fierce fighting,

the commander of the defending militia, Long Dazun, seeing that the situation was hopeless, abandoned the city and fled, allowing the peasant soldiers to capture the county seat.
