Gui Zheng Fa [1985] No. 111 designated it as one of the first batch of cultural relic protection units in Guixian County.

The Jiangnan Subdistrict Office is situated in the Jiangnan area of Guigang’s urban district, adjacent to the Yu River section of the Xijiang River basin, and falls under the jurisdiction of Gangnan District. It serves as the political, economic, and cultural center of Gangnan District. Located south of the city proper and along the banks of the Yu River, it borders Batang Town and Xintang Township. Its eastern boundary starts at the Greymon Chemical Company, its southern boundary is formed by Xiqi and Xintang Mountain Village, its western boundary reaches Xianyitan Wharf, and its northern edge is defined by the Yu River.
