Rainbow Bridge: New Hotspot on Taiwan’s Version of the Thames – Four Must-Photograph Spots

To create quality recreational spaces for Hsinchu residents, the Hsinchu City Government meticulously developed the “17-Kilometer Coastline.” It first transformed a landfill site into “Sea View Park” and “Sky and Sea in One,” and then integrated facilities such as the Hsinchu Fishing Port’s recreational boat dock, Gangnan Canal, Mangrove Park, Scenic Coast, Haishan Fishing Port Viewing Platform, and Waterfront Landscape. The project has received widespread acclaim, leaving visitors amazed.

1. Rainbow Bridge

The 17-kilometer cycling path features four pairs of rainbow bridges. Their vibrant, colorful spans stretch across the Xiyi River, complemented by lush mangrove scenery and blue skies with white clouds, creating a stunning view. These colorful rainbow bridges are a first in Taiwan and are greatly loved by tourists.

2. Gangnan Canal

Resembling the Thames River, Gangnan Canal flows from Gangnan to Jincheng Lake. The scenic waterway offers beautiful views along its length, with dazzling light displays along both banks visible day and night, as well as refreshing sea breezes. Running from north to south through the Gangnan Coastal Scenic Area, the canal borders various facilities on its eastern side and adjoins the scenic cycling path on its western side. From here, you can gaze out at the coastal seascape. With its well-developed facilities, it is the most suitable among the Eight Scenic Spots of the Sea for hosting various group activities.
