Dongzhai Feishan Temple —— During the late Tang and Five Dynasties period, the Dong society transitioned directly from a primitive clan society to a feudal society, bypassing the slave society stage. The "Kuan" organizations, based on kinship and bonded by geography, were formally established and achieved significant development, reaching their heyday. During this time, Yang Zaixi, the Dong "Feishan King," managed the Feishan area during a turbulent era. He maintained unity without claiming kingship or dominance, implementing regional ethnic autonomy that fostered ethnic harmony, solidarity, and integrated development. His approach gained recognition from the central government, giving rise to the esteemed "Feishan Spirit" that has been revered through the generations. Subsequently, Dong villages across the region built temples to worship him. The temple in the scenic area is located in Dongzhai. Daily worship activities are held on the first and fifteenth days of each lunar month, while a grand ceremony dedicated to Feishan King takes place on the 26th day of the tenth lunar month.
