Over 15 days and nights, covering a journey of 7,000 kilometers from Beijing to the source of the Mother River.
The Honey & Bear HBPGC team has completed the ["Tracing the Source" of the Three Rivers]Ultimate Exploration Series and will soon return to Beijing.
The "Tracing the Source" of the Three Rivers activity is an exclusive expedition customized by content creators Honey & Bear for the magazine Beyond Adventure (Beyond Adventure). The Three Rivers Source Nature Reserve is China’s first legislatively protected national nature park. The local government has established multiple relevant departments to intensify efforts against illegal intruders and poachers, and strictly monitors and manages the natural landscapes and wildlife within the reserve.
In the future, the Honey & Bear team will collaborate more deeply with the local government. With reverence for nature, they will lead explorers who share their passion for this land and whose enthusiasm hasn’t been dulled by life to legally enter the reserve. They aim to create safe and reliable itineraries and provide professional, stable technical support.
On March 15, 2017, the Honey & Bear team assembled and set off from Beijing, passing through Yinchuan, Gonghe, and Maduo, venturing deep into the heart of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau—known as the “Water Tower of the World”—to reach the core of this expedition: traversing and exploring the Three Rivers Source Nature Reserve.
The terrain of the Three Rivers Source area is complex, with deserts, grasslands, swamps, and ice fields coexisting. Relying on their rich experience, solid skills, and well-planned routes, the Honey & Bear exploration team safely led the convoy to the source of the Yellow River and organized a themed cultural event by the shores of Donggecuo Lake.
After replenishing supplies, the team traveled up the Tuotuo River, crossed the Three Rivers Source Nature Reserve, and arrived at Maqu Township in Anduo County—the first township at the source of the Yangtze River. There, they engaged in in-depth discussions with local government departments on topics such as environmental protection at the Yangtze River source, public welfare education for children in pastoral areas, and the shooting of an environmental documentary about the Jianggudiru Glacier. After resting overnight, the convoy safely arrived in Lhasa via Anduo.

Thus, the exclusive activity ["Tracing the Source" of the Three Rivers], custom-created by content creators Honey & Bear for the magazine Beyond Adventure, was successfully completed.Stay tuned for future works from Honey & Bear content creators!
