Sanjiang Buyang Ecological Tea Garden: China’s Earliest Spring Tea

“At noon I wake to silence all around, while a mountain boy taps tea pestle behind the bamboo.” The great literary master Liu Zongyuan wrote this delightful tea poem when passing through Sanjiang on his way to take office in Liuzhou, showing that the folk tea culture of Sanjiang was already quite popular during the Tang Dynasty. Buyang tea is a newly developed ecological and organic tea variety in recent years. The Buyang tea gardens are located on mountain slopes at altitudes of 600–900 meters, where the air is fresh, the moisture abundant, and the temperature varies greatly between day and night. Blessed by nature and location, the area has earned the reputation of “China’s Earliest Spring Tea.”

Buyang tea leaves are emerald green in color, rich and long-lasting in aroma, and produce a clear, bright liquor. The tea has won numerous special prizes, first prizes, and “gold awards” in national competitions for famous and high-quality teas.
