Former Residence of Tang Ke

The former residence of Tang Ke is a cultural relic protection unit of Hunan Province.

The former residence of Tang Ke is located in Yangdian Village, Quhe Subdistrict Office, Lengshuitan District, Yongzhou City.

Tang Ke (1903–1930), originally named Shao Yao, also used the names Liang Zhi, Zhe Fu, and Zhao Yi Ming. He was born on July 20 of the lunar calendar, 1903, in Tangjia, Sanmiao, Caijia Township, Lingling County, Hunan Province. In 1924, while attending high school at Yuying Middle School in Changsha, he read progressive publications such as New Youth and Enlightenment. As a result, he abandoned his earlier aspiration to save the nation through science and resolved to put down his pen and take up arms.
