Yangmingshan National Park’s Lengshuikeng area offers free gender-segregated hot spring baths and outdoor footbaths, which have become popular among visitors for their relaxing soak experience. However, the park management recently noticed that large amounts of bottles and litter are often left around the outdoor footbaths every morning. To ensure visitor safety, the Yangmingshan National Park Headquarters announced that nighttime use of the outdoor footbaths will be prohibited starting immediately.

The park management stated that although the public gender-segregated hot spring baths at Lengshuikeng close at 9 p.m. for cleaning, the outdoor footbaths continue to provide hot spring water and remain available for use at all times. However, after multiple inspections in recent days, it was found that the footbaths are often littered with a significant number of bottles and trash by the next morning. This not only creates an unhygienic environment but may also pose safety risks to visitors. Therefore, starting in September, the outdoor footbaths will be closed for nighttime use from 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. the following day.
