Shiyangshao Hot Springs

The first hot spring tourism area developed in Huaihua City is the Mayang Shiyangshao Hot Springs. According to reports, located in Xinjian Village by the Huangtuxi Reservoir in Mayang, the Shiyangshao Hot Springs are classified as medium-temperature springs. Water quality tests have shown that they are rich in trace elements beneficial to the human body, and they have significant therapeutic effects on hair loss, facial spots, and various skin conditions. The springs have an abundant water output. Shiyangshao Hot Springs are just 8 kilometers away from the famous scenic spot of Fenghuang. Nearby, historic structures such as sentry posts and blockhouses are well preserved, and the area boasts rich local folk customs and distinctive cultural features.

The Shiyangshao Hot Springs development project was jointly developed by the People's Government of Mayang Miao Autonomous County and Hunan Mayang Hongyuan Hot Spring Tourism Resort Co., Ltd., with funding provided by Wuhan Quansheng Decoration Engineering Co., Ltd. The hot springs were opened to the public before October 1, 2005.
