Oita Prefecture ranks No. 1 in Japan for hot spring quantity, features a cycling path for autumn foliage viewing — comes to Taiwan for promotion on September 5

Beppu is Japan’s most famous and iconic hot spring town, best known for the “Beppu Hatto” — eight hot spring resorts located throughout the city. Oita Prefecture is also a leading destination for sports tourism. A cycling route built along the remnants of old railway tracks stretches 35 kilometers from Yabakei, one of Japan’s most renowned autumn foliage spots, to Yamaguni Town. It is the largest cycling path in western Japan and has been ranked as the No. 1 “most beautiful cycling path in Japan.”
The Oita Prefectural Government and Tourism Association will hold a travel promotion event this Saturday (September 5) at Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, where visitors can learn more about Oita’s many tourist attractions. Interested travelers are welcome to attend.
