The "Northeast Japan Six-Prefecture Gratitude Festival" continues the spirit of 2014, expressing heartfelt gratitude to Taiwan for its support following the Great East Japan Earthquake, and hoping to convey the sentiments of Northeast Japan through action. In 2016, it returns to Taiwan once again to engage with more people and express its thanks.

Continuing last year’s theme, the "Northeast Japan Fun Day 2016" invites Taiwanese people to experience an even more exciting Northeast Japan and to have fun together with the six prefectures of the region.
Event content includes traditional performing arts from the six prefectures of Northeast Japan, hands-on experiences with traditional crafts,cherry blossom festival food tastings, traditional costume dress-up experiences,a comprehensive travel information hub,major promotions on travel products, and more. Airline tickets are given away every day during the event~JR Passes are also given away every day, too.
