Netherlands-themed Garden of Guanshan

The Netherlands-themed Garden of Guanshan is located on Minzu Avenue in Hongshan District, Wuhan, stretching approximately 340 meters from east to west and 190–250 meters from north to south, covering an area of 82,300 square meters. It was built to commemorate the sister-city relationship between Wuhan and Arnhem, the Netherlands, and was formerly the first park in Hongshan District — “Guanshan Park.”

The Netherlands-themed garden is roughly divided into two areas: the outer section serves as a green buffer zone, densely planted with trees to separate the park from the bustling city, while the inner section centers around an artificial lake, forming a primary layout of flowers in the front, the lake in the middle, and woods at the back. The garden features a number of large ornamental tree varieties that reflect Dutch style, as well as Dutch flowers and a Dutch windmill.

Among them, the most eye-catching attraction is the Dutch windmill. Upon entering the Netherlands-themed Garden, the towering windmill immediately comes into view, serving as the highlight of the park. The artificial lake is situated in the center of the park. On the western lakeside, in addition to large plantings of tulips and hyacinths, there are also European flowers such as primroses, marigolds, pansies, and ranunculus, complemented by Dutch-style architecture, giving the entire park a strong exotic charm and making it a perfect leisure spot for nearby residents.
