Bubusheng Cultural Tourism Area is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

Zhijiang Bubusheng Cloth Art Co., Ltd. was established in 2006. The company is located near the Yihuang Expressway’s Zhijiang Xiannv Exit and just one kilometer from the Zhijiangbei Station of the Hankou–Yichang High-Speed Railway. After years of unremitting efforts, the company has evolved from cloth shoe production into a comprehensive enterprise integrating dining, accommodation, transportation, tourism, shopping, and entertainment. Currently, the company has four subsidiaries and employs over 10,000 staff members, including more than 10,000 “casual professionals.” Its cloth shoe sales outlets span across the country, and its products are exported to Southeast Asia and Europe.

The company’s core product is traditional handmade cloth shoes. With its patented “edge-stitched and sole-stitched” technique, combined with all-natural raw materials, Bubusheng cloth shoes are meticulously handcrafted, fully embodying the essence and spirit of being “cultural, rustic, and health-promoting.” The exquisite craftsmanship has been included in the National Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection List and was featured in CCTV’s program “30 Degrees North · Journey Through China.” “Three Gorges Bubusheng” has also won numerous honors, including the Top Ten Specialties of the Three Gorges, Hubei Famous-Brand Products, China Well-Known Trademark, and “One County, One Product.” In 2010, the company was the only representative from Hubei Province at the National Peasant Art Festival and showcased as a “Chinese Element” at the Shanghai World Expo. The company has been designated as a “National Designated Producer of Ethnic Minority Special-Need Commodities,” a council member of the National Women’s Handicraft Weaving Association, a provincial-level key agricultural industrialization leading enterprise, a Hubei Provincial Cultural Industry Demonstration Base, a Hubei Provincial Leisure Agriculture Demonstration Site, a Hubei Provincial Women’s Entrepreneurship and Employment Demonstration Base, and the sole drafting unit for the provincial standard of handmade cloth shoes.

At the end of 2007, the company invested 55 million yuan to build the “Three Gorges Bubusheng Cloth Shoe Culture Village,” which was named an “Hubei Tourism Famous Village” by the provincial government, a national AAA-level scenic spot, and a central service hub of the Western Hubei Ecological and Cultural Tourism Circle. The park covers an area of 50 acres and includes a traditional craft exhibition and experience area integrating traditional spinning, weaving, and cloth shoe making, the China Cloth Shoe Museum, the China Fertility Odd Stones Museum, Mom’s Restaurant, and a leisure and entertainment center. The planned third phase, covering 500 acres, will integrate seamlessly with the existing culture village and the Yichang Service Area of the Hankou–Yichang Expressway, establishing Bubusheng as the Home of Chinese Cloth Shoes, a national tourism famous village, a national women’s entrepreneurship and employment demonstration base, and the headquarters of the national women’s handicraft weaving industry cluster.
