After leaving Chengde, the 10th Tour of China International Road Cycling Race in 2019 arrived in Hubei, visiting Huangshi Economic and Technological Development Zone · Tieshan District on the third race day and Yichang Zhijiang on the fourth. Through these two days of the Tour of China, Hubei Province demonstrated its achievements and resolve in using its tourism resource advantages to promote the development of the tourism industry and to carefully craft a city of sports.

　　Hubei boasts abundant tourism resources, encompassing natural, cultural, and social elements, which are numerous, widely distributed, and of high quality, propelling its tourism industry to new heights. At the same time, the province is committed to building itself into a city of sports. Huangshi has hosted the Tour of China four times and has greatly benefited from the event’s platform in promoting investment attraction for this newly developed economic zone, bringing more opportunities to the city. Zhijiang, aiming to become a “City of Bicycles,” truly lives up to the title as a sports city. With the beautiful scenery of Jinhu National Wetland Park and its unique geographical advantages, it has hosted the Tour of China — China’s top domestic cycling event — for two consecutive years, moving steadily closer to its goal of becoming a “City of Bicycles.” This shows that both Huangshi and Zhijiang are adept at using sports events for promotion, advancing the development of their own and even Hubei Province’s sports industry, while fully utilizing and showcasing urban tourism resources. They are accelerating the organic integration of sports events and the tourism industry, successfully establishing the “sports+” event concept.
