Xujiahuawu Revolutionary Site Memorial Park is a classic red tourism destination.

Xujiahuawu Revolutionary Site Memorial Park (located in Group 1, Xujiazui Village, Anfusi Town, Zhijiang City, Yichang).

In August 1927, Chen Dehua (alias Chen Xishi, a native of Xujiazui Village), a special envoy of the Provincial Peasant Association, director of the Yidu County Peasant Association, and member of the Communist Party of China, secretly returned from Yidu County to areas such as Xujiahuawu and Chenjiayuan, where he developed over 40 party members and established party branches in Xujiahuawu, Chenjiayuan, and other locations. He also formed mass organizations including the Peasant Association (Maozi Hui), the Communist Youth League, and the Women’s Association. In February 1928, early CPC members in Yichang—Duan Dechang and Zhou Yiqun—visited the Anfusi area to guide work. The CPC Yidu County Committee, Songzhiyi County Committee, and Zhiji County Committee were successively established at Xujiahuawu. The site witnessed three large-scale struggles where tens of thousands of famine victims stormed wealthy households, involving over 30,000 participants across an area spanning more than 60 square li. These events led to the formation of peasant Red Guards and local Red Army guerrilla units, the establishment of the Yidu Soviet government, and the creation of a revolutionary base centered around Anfusi in central western Hubei.

To commemorate revolutionary predecessors, uphold their legacy, build a base for revolutionary tradition education, and develop red tourism, the local government constructed the Xujiahuawu Revolutionary Site Memorial Park south of the ruins of Xujiahuawu. In 2015, it was designated as a Model Party History Education Base by the Zhijiang Municipal Party History Office.
