South Lake in Huangshi: Located to the south of Huangshi City, Hubei Province. During the Song Dynasty, when Su Shi was exiled to Huangzhou (now Huanggang County), his younger brother Su Zhe traveled by boat from Guangling to Huangzhou and once took shelter from the wind by entering the lake via the Huangshi River. The “Su Gong Stone” on the mountainside in the lake still remains. The area enjoys a serene environment, and sanatoriums and swimming pools have been built along the lakeshore.
