Shagu Relics Site

The Shagu Relics Site is a cultural relic protection unit of Zhengzhou City.

The Shagu Relics Site is located on the eastern terrace of the Fan River in the western part of Shangjie District, Zhengzhou City. The site lies to the east of Kunlun Road and to the north of a tributary gully of the Fan River. The current surface is cultivated land with relatively flat terrain. On the cliffs on both sides of Kunlun Road, ash pits have been discovered, featuring grayish-brown soil containing relics such as pottery shards. A small number of pottery shards have been collected from the surface. The pottery is of earthenware, with colors including gray pottery, and decorations such as rope patterns and plain surfaces. The vessel shapes include jars and roof tiles.
