10 Unique Creative Blocks  Taichung Cultural and Creative Exhibition Begins Its Tour

The "Fun Ten – Taichung’s Top 10 Cultural and Creative Blocks Exhibition," which received an enthusiastic response from both domestic and international visitors last year, is set to go on tour again this year. To help more people get to know the city's top ten creative districts, the exhibition will kick off on Tuesday, May 13th, at the Huludun Cultural Center in Fengyuan District, and then continue on to Taiping, Dali, Qingshui, and Wufeng Districts. With storytelling as its curatorial theme, the exhibition showcases the unique creative lifestyles and atmospheres of 10 districts in Taichung City, capturing the imagery and colors of each area to create surprising corners of art and creativity.

Inside the huts are cultural and creative exhibits from each district, along with adorable illustration-style photo booths, offering visitors a uniquely creative interactive experience. For instance, the Central District Cultural and Creative Industry Block hut recreates a young entrepreneurs’ office scene, with fluffy white clouds overhead symbolizing dreams within reach. In addition to taking photos, visitors can also write down their own entrepreneurial dreams and post them on the dream blackboard inside the hut. The Caotuo Road Cultural and Creative Living Block takes a fresh and minimalist approach, featuring a miniature replica of the area’s iconic colorful road signs, paired with a calligraphy-style background on rice paper and a display of multi-colored shelves showcasing exquisitely crafted products by Caotuo Road creators.

For this touring exhibition, the Cultural Affairs Bureau collaborated across departments, bringing together seven bureaus — including the Urban Development Bureau, Agriculture Bureau, Information Bureau, Economic Development Bureau, Tourism Bureau, and Education Bureau — to jointly build the cultural brand of “Taichung’s Top 10 Cultural and Creative Blocks.” Additionally, when the tour reaches Dali, Taiping, and Qingshui, each area will feature a dedicated “Host Pavilion”: the “Memories of Glory” Dali Nostalgic Cultural and Creative Living Block, the “Farmers’ Joy” Taiping Lifestyle Block, and the “Sound of Waves” Qingshui Seaside Leisure Block. As visitors move between the huts, they can enjoy interactive experiences that not only bring the joy of creativity but also offer deeper insights into the city they call home.
