Yangjiaying Village

The village fully explores the cultural essence of the Song-Liao War, integrates natural and cultural resources, and develops distinctive agritourism. Firstly, it has built a Song-Liao Cultural Street. Based on the historical legends of the Yang Family Generals, a 150-meter-long cultural wall has been erected, featuring illustrations of the stories of 108 figures from the Song and Liao periods, allowing visitors to travel back in time, experience the culture of the Song and Liao dynasties, and receive patriotic education.

Secondly, a “Thousand-Mu Picking Garden” has been established. By integrating over 1,300 mu of orchards growing grapes, apples, peaches, and pears, the village offers activities such as fruit picking from the trees and foraging for wild vegetables like purslane, yugu vegetables, and melon tips under the trees, attracting urban tourists. Thirdly, it promotes folk culture. The village has revitalized its traditional wood carving techniques and developed wood carving handicrafts, which have begun to take shape. Wood carvings such as the “Along the River During the Qingming Festival,” “Five Oxen,” depictions of plum, orchid, bamboo, and chrysanthemum, as well as plaques, are highly popular among visitors.

It also offers activities themed “Enjoy the rural scenery, eat farmhouse meals, do farm work, sleep on a kang, and experience rural joy,” and has developed 10 farmhouse stay establishments. Fourthly, tourism projects have been introduced. By implementing preferential policies, the village successfully attracted an investment of tens of millions of yuan for the construction of a 140-mu integrated tourism resort project that includes dining, entertainment, fishing, sightseeing, and fruit picking.

Meanwhile, the village raised over 800,000 yuan to pave 3,100 meters of roads, drill a new 300-meter-deep groundwater well, lay 2,800 meters of anti-seepage pipes, green 2,000 square meters of land, beautify 8,000 square meters of street walls, install 40 street lamps, build a leisure park, set up eight pieces of fitness equipment, and renovate eight rooms in the “Villagers’ Center.”
