About 1.5 kilometers upstream from Yuanyuan, a major town in southern Boshan, along the Zishui River, you’ll find verdant mountains rising proudly and crystal-clear waters reflecting their beauty — a picturesque scene that has earned the area the reputation of a “fairyland of springs and rocks,” known as the Quanhetou Scenic Area.

The Quanhetou Scenic Area mainly consists of the Shanglongwan and Xialongwan spring clusters and the ancient architectural complex on Qinglong Mountain. “Half an acre of square pond, deep in a green ravine; high mountains and flowing water produce clear, melodious sounds.” Just emerging from the water-scarce city of Boshan, visitors are especially delighted to see the mist rising from the water and springs gushing forth here. In the Quanhe area, the vast water surface reflects the silhouette of Qinglong Mountain, with crystal-clear waters revealing the bottom, fish swimming in the shallows, and geese and ducks playing — a refreshing sight. Two spring sources — Shanglongwan and Xialongwan — have been dredged and renovated into deep pools several meters wide, surrounded by stone pillars. The deep, green pools are dotted with springs that gush like jade and pearls, flowing year-round. The water temperature remains around 15°C throughout the year, making it suitable for breeding tropical fish. The municipal and district water authorities have invested in building several acres of fish ponds here to raise rainbow trout imported from abroad. The silvery-gray building by the river is the newly completed Rainbow Trout Restaurant. After enjoying the mountains and waters, visitors can come here to savor fresh fish — a unique delight.
