Qiaolingqian Scenic Area

Qiaolingqian Scenic Area is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

Qiaolingqian Scenic Area is located in the Qiaolingqian Village area, about 8 kilometers southwest of Boshan District, Zibo City. The scenic area features undulating peaks, cascading waterfalls, and is known as a "natural park." It mainly consists of three natural scenic spots: Chaoyang Cave, Queen Mother’s Pool, and Linli Lake. These three sites are connected by a winding, rugged, and mysterious valley flanked by cliffs over 40 meters high. A road runs along the valley floor, allowing visitors to travel by car or on foot as if on level ground. Along one side of the road flows a stream through the valley, and the beautiful mountain and water scenery captivates all who pass.

The Boshan Karst Cave, formed 12 million years ago, has stalactites that date back 200,000 to 300,000 years. The cave stretches from north to south and extends over 1,500 meters deep. Its structure is unique, with chambers within chambers, varying in width, height, and depth. The cave is generally about 10 meters wide, with the widest part reaching over 20 meters, while the narrowest sections are so tight that only one person can squeeze through sideways. The ceiling height averages around 3 meters, reaching up to over 40 meters at its highest point, and in lower areas, visitors must crawl. Inside the cave, stalactites and stalagmites resemble sculptures, creating a fantastical and mysterious atmosphere. Notable formations such as the "Eighteen Arhats Facing the South Sea" and the "Immortal Pavilion" are truly breathtaking. The entire cave is filled with the sound of flowing water and boasts fresh, pleasant air, giving off an elegant and mysterious vibe.

Queen Mother’s Pool is located south of Qiaolingqian Village. It is a rectangular pool about 100 meters in circumference and 2 meters deep. A waterfall cascades down from the canyon, splashing against the cliffs with showers of silver sparks. Seven giant rocks, each over 10 meters tall, stand to the upper left of the waterfall, resembling fairies lost in thought. Legend has it that in ancient times, the Queen Mother descended to Earth and, upon seeing the smooth rocks and rushing waterfall, stopped her celestial chariot to bathe in the pool—hence the name "Queen Mother’s Pool."

Linli Lake is located about 5 li (2.5 km) west of Qiaolingqian Village. It is an artificial lake built within a high mountain valley, nestled among layers of peaks. The lake remains full year-round, surrounded by verdant mountains, offering picturesque scenery. Visitors can fish by the shore or go boating on the lake, enjoying a delightful experience.
