Yuanyuan Scenic Area

The Yuanyuan Natural Scenic Area is located in the southeastern part of Boshan District, Zibo City, Shandong Province, covering an area of 53 square kilometers. It is a national water conservation reserve. Nature’s wondrous craftsmanship has bestowed upon Yuanyuan uniquely beautiful and stunning scenery. Surrounded by mountains, the area features overlapping green peaks, gushing springs, and the clear blue waters of the Zi River. Its distinctive characteristics—lofty mountains, deep valleys, lush forests, shallow beaches, strange rocks, clear springs, abundant fish, and beautiful waters—are widely renowned across the land of Qilu, earning it the reputation of the “Little Guilin of Northern China.”

In the planned and developed Yuanyuan Natural Scenic Area, the picturesque Yuhe River offers delicate and charming views, Erlang Mountain stands steep and rugged, an aerial cableway stretches across from north to south, the Kaiyuan Karst Cave is spectacular and marvelous, the Fulu Fishing Spot sees fish swimming leisurely, the natural swimming area has mirror-like calm waters, the Yueyi Buddha radiates a serene glow, and rural scenes are quaint and pleasant.
