Tianfo Mountain Forest Park is located beside Mount Lu, with the mountain range covered by forests at an 80% rate. Tianfo Mountain features both mountains and water, making it an ideal summer destination. Here, lush forests and abundant grasslands echo with birdsong, while clear streams teem with colorful fish. The mountains are not steep but serene and elegant. Legend has it that when the Buddha traveled eastward to the Bohai Sea and passed by this mountain, he was captivated by its beauty and lingered reluctantly, eventually preaching and transforming into a stone statue, choosing to remain here—hence the name Tianfo Mountain. The stone Buddha stands 21 meters tall and is 6.5 meters wide. From a distance, its posture resembles the Buddha in meditation, lifelike and majestic.

The scenic area boasts lush vegetation with over 80% forest coverage, offering high levels of negative oxygen ions in the air, making it a natural “oxygen bar.” The area features stunning landscapes with peculiar rocks, and its most famous attraction is the natural stone Buddha, which stands 21 meters tall and 6.5 meters wide. From afar, its form resembles the Buddha in meditation, strikingly vivid and imposing. Legend says the Buddha, traveling east to the Bohai Sea, was so enchanted by the scenery here that he stayed to preach, transforming into stone and remaining forever—thus naming the place Tianfo (Heavenly Buddha). The stone Buddha is 21 meters high and 6.5 meters wide.
