The Chinese People's Arms Industry History Museum serves as a patriotic education base.

The Shandong People's Arms Industry History Museum and China Modern Arms Culture Creative Park project mainly include an arms industry heritage area, arms museum, cultural creative park, industrial manufacturing experience zone, and youth patriotic education base. It aims to inspire the public to learn about history, admire martyrs, cherish peace, and uphold ideals by recreating historical scenes, relics, and weapon displays that depict the life-and-death struggles, bloodshed, justice, and brutality of the era. The area also retains a complete, diverse, and semi-automated modern mechanical processing and manufacturing demonstration line, allowing visitors to experience the vitality of modern machinery civilization firsthand and realize the integration, mutual promotion, and coordinated development of people’s arms culture and modern industrial civilization. Additionally, to meet the developmental needs of today’s youth, the project continues to build outdoor activity zones integrating leisure, experience, observation, and entertainment—such as a youth arms manufacturing experience area, arms usage observation area, and modern high-tech arms field game zone—enriching the extracurricular cultural life of young people, helping them acquire basic operational skills with modern weapons, supporting their physical and mental well-being, and fostering a vibrant new generation of youth.

The Shandong Arms Factory was the first arms factory established by the Chinese People's Liberation Army in East China amidst the flames of the Anti-Japanese War. Since the founding of the first “shoulder-carried” mobile repair workshop in Shandong in 1938, the brave, tenacious, and indomitable people’s arms industry, committed to defending national sovereignty and independence and revitalizing the Chinese nation, made tremendous contributions to the victories of the War of Resistance and the Liberation War, while also leaving behind a solid material foundation and valuable spiritual legacy for the development of New China’s arms industry. The Shandong People's Arms Industry History Museum and China Modern Arms Culture Creative Park construction project was developed by Shandong North Gongli Company utilizing the resource advantages of its existing factory site.
