Hualin Village
The lakes and streams in Hualin Village flow year-round and there is no admission fee. Located at the foot of Mount Lushan, about 8 kilometers southeast of the Chishang Town government, Hualin is one of the sources of the Zi River. The village is surrounded by valleys and wooded hills, blanketed with peach, apricot, pear, chestnut, walnut, and locust trees. Due to its lush forests and abundant blossoms, the ancestors named the village “Hualin,” meaning “Flower Forest.”
