Phoenix Mountain Scenic Area

Phoenix Mountain Scenic Area is the core part of the five major scenic zones in Yuanshan National Forest Park, covering an area of over 2,800 acres. Located southwest of Boshan City, it is just 2 kilometers away from Boshan Railway Station and Bus Station. The area features rugged mountains, unique landforms, dense forests, beautiful surroundings, as well as abundant cultural and natural attractions. There are numerous recreational and fitness facilities, making it an ideal destination for emotional cultivation, eco-tourism, and leisure vacation.

Phoenix Mountain (also known as Little Summit Mountain) gets its name from its phoenix-like shape. Historically, it was an important site for religious activities and a strategic battleground during the Spring and Autumn and Warring States periods. Cultural relics such as the Jade Emperor Palace from the Song Dynasty, the Red Gate from the Ming Dynasty, the Mount Tai Palace, and the Lu Zu Temple from the Qing Dynasty are nestled within the dense woods, while cliff carvings — a vivid scroll of China’s 5,000-year history — are displayed on the steep rock faces.
