In 2013, Zibo Fan Gong Ancestral Hall was announced by the People's Government of Shandong Province as part of the fourth batch of provincial-level cultural heritage protection units in Shandong Province.

The Boshan Fan Gong Ancestral Hall is located at the eastern end of Zhongxin Road in Boshan District. It was first built in the fifth year of the Tianqi era of the Ming Dynasty (1625). The Fan Gong Ancestral Hall was formerly known as Fanquan Academy. After the founding of the People’s Republic of China, in 1953, the Fan Gong Ancestral Hall was repurposed as the Zibo City Library; in 1991, the library moved out; in 1994, the Boshan District government renovated the Fan Gong Ancestral Hall; and in August 1995, it was officially opened to the public as a historic site and scenic attraction.
