Tomb of Martyr Hong Zhenhai

The Tomb of Martyr Hong Zhenhai is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Shandong Province.

The Tomb of Martyr Hong Zhenhai is located in Yangzhuang Town, Tengzhou City, dating back to 1943.

On June 23, 2015, the Tomb of Martyr Hong Zhenhai was designated as part of the fifth batch of Provincial Cultural Heritage Protection Units by the People's Government of Shandong Province.

Hong Zhenhai (1910–1942), also known as Hong Yanxing, was from Dabeitang, Yangzhuang Township, Tengxian County (now Tengzhou City). He was one of the founders of the renowned Southern Shandong Railway Guerrilla Unit and served as its captain. Born into a poor farming family, he worked as a coal miner at the Zhongxing Company coal mine in Zaozhuang in 1929. In 1938, he joined the Anti-Japanese Volunteer Army of Southern Shandong, serving as a soldier in the Third Battalion. Soon after, he was promoted to squad leader and later to platoon leader.
