The former site of Zibo Artistic Ceramics Factory is located in Shantou Subdistrict, Boshan District, Zibo City, dating back to 1959.

On October 10, 2013, the former site of Zibo Artistic Ceramics Factory was designated as part of the fourth batch of Provincial-Level Cultural Heritage Protection Units by the People's Government of Shandong Province.

Shantou Subdistrict: Located on the outskirts of Boshan District, Shandong Town is renowned as a hometown of ceramics and colored glaze, as well as the birthplace of China’s filial piety culture. The town covers a total area of 53 square kilometers, governs 32 community committees and 8 administrative villages, with a permanent population of 54,000. It lies 300 kilometers east of Qingdao, 100 kilometers west of Jinan (the provincial capital of Shandong), and enjoys convenient access south to Shanghai and north to Beijing via expressways.
