Hundred Valley is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.

National Geological Park — Hundred Valley Hundred Valley consists of three gorges, stretching a total length of 105 li. The distribution of the gorges resembles the shape of a deer’s antlers. The outermost one is called “Scorpion Gully”: it is 25 li long. At the entrance of the Hundred Valley scenic area, there is a scenic spot called “Fairy Official Leading the Way” that guides visitors into Scorpion Gully. This gully, which is 25 li in length, gets its name from the abundance of nettle-like plants growing inside. These plants resemble young mulberry leaves, and touching their leaves with bare skin causes intense pain, though the pain subsides quickly. Scorpion Gully features magnificent sights such as “Dragon Pool Reflecting the Moon,” “Ear-Touching Cliff,” and “Iron Lock Cliff,” all of which are breathtaking.

The middle gorge is called “Begonia Valley”: it earned its name due to the prevalence of begonia flowers within the valley and is 35 li long. Here, emerald cliffs rise abruptly, and layers of rugged peaks soar straight into the sky, inspiring awe. As you explore the gorge, you’ll encounter spectacular sights such as the perilous “Tiger’s Mouth,” the narrow “One-Line Sky,” the lifelike “Goddess Turning Her Head,” the grand “Lower Heavenly Bridge” and “Upper Heavenly Bridge.” During midsummer, wild begonias bloom throughout the valley, filling the air with their fragrant scent.

The third gorge is called “Ten Hanging Valleys,” named for the dozens of arc-shaped cliffs found within it, stretching 45 li in length. This gorge, which is 45 li long, gets its name from the numerous uniquely shaped cliffs scattered throughout. As you enter the gorge, you’ll be greeted by attractions such as the “Stretching Ox Lake” waterfall, the “Water Curtain Cave” on Lingzhi Mountain, the “No-Sky View” formed by the arc cliffs, the puzzling “Strange Peaks,” and the crystal-clear “Lion Emerging” on the sheer cliffs. There is a scenic wonder at every step, making you feel as if you’ve stepped into a fairy-tale world.

The three gorges stretch a total of 105 li, hence the name “Hundred Valley.” The gorges feature towering rocky outcrops, sheer cliffs, and lush vegetation. The bizarre and magnificent karst landscapes combine grandeur, danger, wonder, and serenity, creating a richly colored natural “Hundred-Valley Gallery.”
