Lipei Tea
The Lishui County Tea Experimental Farm was established in 1958 as a state-owned agricultural and forestry farm primarily focused on tea production, while also engaging in industry, agriculture, and side businesses. It currently has 3,600 acres of tea plantations, oversees five tea farmer branches, one high-quality tea breeding and production base, and five industrial enterprises. In recent years, through continuous deepening of reforms and innovation, the farm has regained vitality and energy, achieving rapid development in both its economy and social initiatives. In 2004, it produced a total of 4,118 dan (a traditional unit equivalent to 50 kg) of dried tea, an increase of 248 dan compared to the previous year’s 3,870 dan, marking a 6.4% rise. Among this, premium tea production reached 320 dan, showing a 16% increase. The total output value was 10.02 million yuan, up 880,000 yuan or 9.6% from the previous year, with sales revenue reaching 8.6 million yuan, reflecting a 38.7% growth. Lipei Cuimei and Biluochun teas have won first prize in Jiangsu Province’s “Lu Yu Cup” Quality Competition for Premium Teas for six consecutive years, as well as the Special Prize in Nanjing’s Premium and Specialty Tea Quality Evaluation. The “Lipei” brand Biluochun, Cihao, and Maojian have been certified as green foods. The “Lipei” trademark has been recognized as a famous brand at both the provincial and municipal levels, and Lipei Tea has been awarded the title of Provincial and Municipal Famous-Brand Product. For nine consecutive years, it has been named a “Trustworthy Yuhua Tea Quality Unit” by the Municipal Bureau of Technical Supervision and the Bureau of Agriculture and Forestry.
