Xishui Green Tea
Xishui Green Tea is a specialty of Xishui County, Huanggang City, Hubei Province. It features straight, fine tips, bright tender green liquor, a rich and lasting aroma, and a sweet and mellow taste. Testing by the China Tea Research Institute shows that its levels of harmful substances and organophosphorus compounds are both below national standards.
Xishui County has many hilly and upland areas and a long history of tea cultivation. Tea is grown throughout the county, but the best quality comes from areas such as Que Mountain in Lüyang, Little Golden Mountain in Xima, Donghe in Sanhua, and October Village in Qingquan. Among these, the “October Hibiscus” tea produced by the Xishui County October Group Ecological Tea Farm is the most renowned. This tea also boasts straight, fine tips, bright tender green liquor, a rich and lasting aroma, and a sweet and mellow taste. Testing by the China Tea Research Institute confirms that its levels of harmful substances and organophosphorus compounds are below national standards. Over the past five years, it has won the Special Prize in Hubei Province’s high-quality tea competitions for consecutive years, as well as two Gold Awards at the “E Tea Cup” and a Silver Award at the Third Agricultural Expo.
