Hubei Province is full of local specialties. Located in southern China, Hubei naturally pursues freshness in its food. When it comes to tea with a fresh taste, green tea is the perfect choice. Donghe, a small mountain village in Hubei, has been transformed by tea plantations. The emergence of Donghe Bijing Tea has brought this village into the view of many tea lovers.

Xishui Green Tea is a specialty of Xishui County, Huanggang City, Hubei Province. It features straight, fine tips with visible fuzz, bright tender green liquor, a rich and lasting aroma, and a sweet and mellow taste. Testing by the China Tea Research Institute shows that its harmful substances and organophosphorus content are both below national standards.

Xishui County has many hilly and upland areas and a long history of tea cultivation. Tea is grown all over the county, but the best quality comes from areas such as Que Mountain in Lüyang, Little Gold Mountain in Xima, Donghe in Sanhua, and October Village in Qingquan. Among them, the “October Hibiscus” tea produced by Xishui County October Group Ecological Tea Farm is the most renowned. This tea has straight, fine tips with visible fuzz, bright tender green liquor, a rich and lasting aroma, and a sweet and mellow taste. Testing by the China Tea Research Institute shows that its harmful substances and organophosphorus content are both below national standards. In the past five years of Hubei Province’s Famous and High-quality Tea Evaluation, it has won the Special Prize consecutively, along with two “E Tea Cup” Gold Awards and a Silver Award at the Third Agricultural Expo.

Xishui is an excellent place for tea production, so the local specialty tea — Donghe Bijing Tea — is of course also of superior quality. From tea tree to leaf to teacup, this tiny green leaf brings people a taste of childhood from someone else’s hometown.
