Baicaopan is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.

Introduction: Baicaopan is the main peak of Baihua Mountain, with an elevation of 2,161 meters. It is the third highest peak in Beijing and the highest in the southwestern part of the city. The Baicaopan Natural Scenic Area spans 19.2 square kilometers, with a forest coverage rate of 82%. Its lowest elevation is over 800 meters higher than that of urban areas. The scenic area is characterized by alpine meadows covered in blooming flowers. The air is fresh, the environment serene, and the climate cool and pleasant. In summer, temperatures here are 8–16 degrees lower than in urban Beijing, making it an ideal destination for summer holidays.

Baicaopan is the only tourist site in the Beijing area where you can drive all the way to a mountain summit over 2,000 meters above sea level. Major attractions include Eight Scenic Spots on the Mountain and Eight Scenic Spots at the Foot of the Mountain, as well as sightseeing agriculture, a 5,000-mu apricot base, 10,000-mu pine forests, flower gardens, and fruit-picking gardens. Friends from all walks of life are welcome to visit for leisure. We warmly accommodate various small and medium-sized conferences, group tours, and student field trips. Transportation: The scenic area is adjacent to National Highway 108, 120 kilometers from Liuliqiao. Take bus 917 from Tianqiao or Liuliqiao to Fangshan, then transfer to a local minibus to Simatai Village. On Saturdays and Sundays, bus 917 goes directly to Simatai Village.

Baicaopan Forest Park is one of the six major scenic areas of Yesanpo, a national key scenic spot, located in the northwest of Laishui County, Hebei Province. It borders Beijing to the east and north. Its main peak stands at 1,983 meters above sea level, making it one of the four highest points around Beijing. It lies right at the junction of the Taihang Mountains and the Yanshan Mountains, with a forest coverage rate of over 76%, earning it the reputation of a “green pearl.”

Baicaopan Forest Park is a mountainous forest park primarily known for its forest landscapes. The terrain is complex and diverse, with rugged peaks, dense forests that block out the sun, abundant flowers and plants, uniquely shaped rocks, and sweet mountain springs. It is home to a wide variety of wildlife, and its natural ecosystem remains well preserved. Each season brings its own vibrant colors, with scenery changing along with the seasons. In spring, lilacs, wild roses, and azaleas bloom in succession, covering the mountains in a riot of color, filling the air with fragrance and refreshing the soul. In summer, the foliage is lush and green. In autumn, the forests turn into a palette of reds and golds. In winter, the landscape is draped in silvery white, exceptionally enchanting. According to expert assessments, the park is home to about 662 species of seed plants from 91 families, and 38 species of ferns from 11 families. There are 184 species of vertebrates, including 15 under national protection. It is hailed as a “natural plant specimen library” and a “wildlife kingdom.” The park has an air negative ion concentration of 551,923 per cubic centimeter—126 times that of urban Beijing—earning it the title of a “natural oxygen bar.”

Major attractions include: Glacier Azaleas, Dense Forest Snow Waves, Hanging Gardens, Oak Forest Maple Autumn, Stone Peak Sunrise Viewing, Two Forests Competing in Beauty, Purple Lilac, and Wind-Moved Rock.

Baicaopan Forest Park is a tourist destination that combines forests, stone forests, sweet springs, rare plants, wildlife, sea of clouds, and sunrise views. Its beautiful and enchanting natural scenery attracts more and more visitors, gaining considerable fame and influence. It has truly achieved a virtuous cycle and sustainable development between forest tourism and forestry.
